Salary Range: $48,000.00 To $55,000.00 Annually

(2nd/3rd Shift)

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Under the supervision of the Direction of the Business Unit Manager, the Supervisor of, Manufacturing, key roles are to manage the activities of the shop floor and follow established procedures and approved processes. To excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly. This position’s specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Supervise all production operations such as machining, processing and assembly.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
  • Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Manage the improvement of working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, cost) and increase employees skills and capabilities.
  • May include other duties as assigned and/or special projects.

CAPABILITIES/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Will have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
  • Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations.
  • Improve efficiencies and throughput in all areas managed.
  • Focus on Root Cause analysis to implement permanent fixes and improve quality and yields.
  • Understand major cost drivers and manage to the lowest level.
  • Innovative thinking to drive change
  • Experience in logistics to maximize throughput.
  • Ability to instill discipline through understanding rules and regulations and leading by example.
  • Respond to customer needs quickly and professionally.
  • Spend time on the manufacturing floor with your employees.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven excellent oral and communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and people interaction skills.
  • Integrity.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • High pressure Mold / cable manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 2 years of manufacturing supervisor experience required.

TECHNICIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Remains current in areas of expertise via, training, self-study, mentoring.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma initiatives.

OTHER REQUIRMENTS:

  • Computer skills with working knowledge of spreadsheets and other applications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • High School or greater

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in an office and manufacturing environment
  • Exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Some physical exertion is required.
  • Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and occasionally bend and move about the facility.
