Job summary

Tops-Products seeks a capable first-line supervisor responsible for directing non-exempt staff in print production, bindery finishing, and shipping/receiving operations. You will review schedules, allocate materials and manpower, and coordinate with support groups to ensure on-time output and quality.

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a proactive approach to solving production challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years demonstrated leadership experience required. Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• Requires flexible, proactive, self-starter with proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Demonstrated effective communication, coaching and interpersonal skills required.
• This includes the ability to influence across many levels of the organization and successfully lead others through change.

Informs assigned employees of production and material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve problems affecting schedules. Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures. Maintain a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods and the like.

Responsibilities

Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed. Able to exercise high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.
