Turn maintenance requirements into an executable fleet plan

As Supervisor — Maintenance Planning, you’ll help coordinate the maintenance work that keeps Frontier aircraft safe, compliant and ready for operation.

You’ll develop and adjust short- and long-term maintenance plans for overnight maintenance, line maintenance and special maintenance visits, including engine changes and modifications. That means bringing together aircraft requirements, staffing, skill sets, parts, tooling, facilities and available maintenance time to build plans that can actually be executed.

You’ll work closely with Line Maintenance, Heavy Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering, Materials, Purchasing and System Operations Control to coordinate aircraft routing and maintenance activity across the operation.

Why this role matters

Good maintenance planning helps ensure the right aircraft is in the right place with the right people, parts and tooling available when work is due. This role connects maintenance requirements with operational realities so teams across Frontier can execute planned and unplanned work efficiently.

What you’ll do

  • Evaluate and adjust planned maintenance events performed by Frontier maintenance teams and approved maintenance providers.
  • Manage 60-day, 30-day, 10-day, three-day and current planning requirements for routine and non-routine maintenance using the Maintenance Due Report.
  • Coordinate overnight maintenance workloads and special maintenance visits across Frontier maintenance facilities.
  • Plan and schedule compliance work for Engineering Orders, Engineering Authorizations and FCDs.
  • Evaluate and maintain A-Check calendars.

Coordinate the resources needed to execute the plan

  • Review MEL items for required parts and tooling and communicate needs to Maintenance Control for follow-up.
  • Review ODM requirements for staffing, parts and tooling.
  • Coordinate with Material Services and AOG Purchasing to ensure required parts arrive in time for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Coordinate with the Tool Room to ensure required tooling is available on station.
  • Sequence and allocate daily workloads based on staffing, skill level and facility availability.

Use forecasting and data to strengthen planning

  • Gather, analyze and validate planning data.
  • Develop and review statistical forecasts.
  • Apply error-analysis techniques to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Summarize and aggregate forecast information to support maintenance planning decisions.

Lead and support the planning function

  • Participate in daily fleet-wide mechanical-status briefings with management.
  • Help maintain and audit Frontier's online Maintenance Planning System in FMIS.
  • Support training, technical knowledge and practical instruction for Maintenance Planning.
  • Assist with Line Planning budget preparation.
  • Maintain planner rosters and vacation schedules and help ensure department personnel remain trained, qualified and current.

What you’ll bring

Required

  • FAA A&P license and/or five years of related aviation experience.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
