Job summary

Alloy Surfaces Company seeks a Supervisor, Maintenance to oversee daily maintenance of production equipment, facilities, utilities, and related infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations across the site. The role coordinates preventive, predictive, and corrective activities and performs hands-on maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Three+ years of supervisory experience leading maintenance personnel.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals; troubleshoot complex issues.
• Eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities to support safe, reliable operation.
• Maintain CMMS by assigning work orders and prioritizing preventive maintenance.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, scheduling, training, and performance guidance.
• Perform and oversee installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Diagnose malfunctions; interpret manuals; perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and other maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and planned maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate facility construction, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and clean work areas.
• Support safety programs, audits, and facility-related initiatives.
• On-call and after-hours maintenance support as required.

JOB SUMMARY

The Supervisor, Maintenance of Alloy Surfaces Company (ASC) supervises the daily maintenance operations for production equipment, facilities, utilities, and supporting infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position coordinates preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities; supervises maintenance personnel; and performs hands‑on maintenance and troubleshooting as needed. The Supervisor, Maintenance plays a key role in maintaining facility assets, supporting production, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment, facility systems, and supporting infrastructure
• Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by assigning work orders, prioritizing maintenance activities, and monitoring completion of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
• Provide day‑to‑day supervision, scheduling, coaching, training, performance management, and technical guidance for assigned maintenance personnel
• Perform and oversee the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment, facility systems, utilities, HVAC systems, and supporting infrastructure
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions; read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders; and perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance activities as required
• Coordinate emergency repairs and planned maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and support production schedules
• Coordinate facility construction, renovations, contractor activities, inspections, and regulatory compliance to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable codes and company requirements
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, environmental regulations, and applicable local, state, and federal requirements while maintaining clean and orderly work areas
• Support facility‑related programs and initiatives, including safety, security, emergency preparedness, business continuity, and facility audits, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Coordinate with local emergency responders, regulatory agencies, alarm providers, contractors, and service providers to support inspections, audits, and emergency response activities
• Support office moves, equipment relocations, workspace modifications, and facility reconfigurations as business needs require
• Provide on‑call, after‑hours, weekend, or emergency maintenance support as required
• Perform other work‑related duties as assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

• High School Diploma
• Associate degree in Mechanical Technology, Electrical Systems, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Three or more years of experience leading or supervising maintenance personnel
• Experience with maintenance programs as well as troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and industrial production equipment

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and other industrial safety requirements Flexibility to respond to off‑hour emergency situations related to facility issues
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to apply sound judgment, initiative, and creativity to complex technical challenges
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
• Knowledge of business codes and local ordinances
• Ability to operate machinery (forklifts, lifts, etc.)
• Knowledge of safety codes and practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, and inventory/warehouse management software

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to climb ladders, work from high lifts, and accomplish lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing in excess of 30 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently. Involves standing and walking most of the time, may involve sitting for brief periods. Use of computer.
