Job summary

Briggs & Stratton, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, seeks a Supervisor Maintenance to oversee the maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds. You will coordinate team skills, develop and motivate staff, and implement preventive maintenance programs across the plant.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years industrial maintenance experience in assembly or machining operations.
• Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing maintenance processes related to machinery, carpentry, electrical, etc.
• Fluent in English; able to interact with a diverse group of employees.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise maintenance of plant equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Develop training and motivate team members to maximize efficiency and morale.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs.
• Review schedules and coordinate maintenance activities across shifts.
• Supervise off-hour emergency response to repairs and stabilize damages.
• Maintain awareness of maintenance policies and ensure adherence by staff.
• Perform management duties including interviewing, hiring, coaching and budgeting.
