Qualifications

• Bachelor's in biological or chemical sciences required upon hire.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a moderate/high complexity lab.
• Relevant licensure/certifications listed (ASCP-IMLS, BB, CASCP, CLS, CLT-NCA, MLS, MT-AAB, MMT-ASCP, MT-AMT, SH-ASCP, HTL) as applicable or required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and review laboratory personnel performance.
• Oversee day-to-day lab operations and personnel decisions.
• Analyze and interpret lab results per established processes.
• Manage inventories of supplies, equipment, and consumables.
• Select appropriate test methodologies for clinical use.
• Verify test procedures and establish test performance characteristics.

Essential Functions:

• Supervises, coaches, and reviews the performance of laboratory personnel to ensure adherence to relevant policies and ethics
• Oversees designated laboratory day-to-day operations and exercises authority over personnel decisions
• Analyzes and interprets laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processes
• Administers laboratory inventories such as supplies, equipment and consumables
• Selection of test methodology that is appropriate for the clinical use of the test results
• Verification of the test procedures performed and establishment of the laboratory's test performance characteristics, including the precision and accuracy of each test and test system

Pay Range

$41.14 - $61.20 /hour
