A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee operations and ensure compliance within the clinical laboratory department. This role involves managing personnel performance and maintaining quality control. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s in biological or chemical sciences and have significant laboratory experience. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this position.
Supervises laboratory personnel and operations to ensure compliance and quality in accordance with laboratory work processes. Exercises authority over personnel decisions and is responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the clinical laboratory department.

Required Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical sciences as defined by CLIA. At least five years of experience in a moderate or high-complexity laboratory. |
Preferred Education and Experience | One year of supervisory or higher-level experience preferred. |
Required Licensure and Certifications | State license requirements vary by location (e.g., CLS:CA, CLS:NV, GS:NV, MT-L:ND, MT-L:TN). For locations where a license is not required, certification such as MT, CLS, or MLS by ASCP or equivalent is necessary. Pathology labs require CT or HTL certification, ASCP or equivalent. |
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training | Strong leadership, administrative, and communication skills. Knowledge of financial management, HR, equipment, quality management, physician relations, and workflow design. Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations for compliance. |
