Summary

The Supervisor, Intelligent Grid Operations oversees the management and operations of the Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) mesh network and connected device communications. Responsibilities include network planning and expansion, data integrity, system health, software and firmware upgrades, and stakeholder engagement. The role involves developing staff expertise and maintaining relationships with vendors, utilities, and industry associations. Regular reporting to senior management on program status and AMI issues is required.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, finance, IT, or business plus four years of relevant experience, or
  • Eight years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of meter technologies, utility industry, market and regulatory requirements, excellent interpersonal, technical, business, planning, and project management skills.

Major Accountabilities
  1. Lead a team for AMI network implementation, operations, and maintenance.
  2. Provide technical guidance on AMI technologies.
  3. Develop and execute AMI projects aligned with strategic plans.
  4. Manage department budget and resources.
  5. Monitor trends to maximize benefits and minimize risks.
  6. Maintain expertise in AMI network technologies and operations.
  7. Ensure communication procedures meet industry standards and compliance.
  8. Represent the company on external programmatic issues and industry matters.
