Job summary

ASARCO LLC is seeking a supervisor to train, supervise, direct, and support the milling workforce to meet production targets. You will monitor concentrator processes and optimize operating parameters while inspecting equipment for repair or preventive maintenance.

This role also administers the Ray Complex Safety Program to ensure regulatory compliance, and handles labor contracts, timekeeping, scheduling, and input for maintenance and purchasing.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Five years of job-related milling experience.
• Must have excellent computer skills with MS Windows, MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Job description

• Train, supervise, direct, and support work force in their activities to ensure production targets
• Monitor the concentrator processes and optimize/determine the proper operating parameters
• Inspect the equipment to determine status for repair or PM and initiate appropriate action
• Administer Ray Complex Safety Program and insure regulatory compliance
• Administer the labor contract and handle all employee issues (grievances/inquiries, etc.) Provide timekeeping, scheduling, WO/maintenance and purchasing/warehouse input/work needed

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must have excellent computer skills with MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel, as well as ability to utilize other software systems. Knowledge of MIMS software.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School or General Education Degree (GED)
• Five (5) years of job related experience in the milling process
