Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an Event & Retail Manager to drive lead generation and local awareness through events, shows, partnerships, and community engagements. You will coach staff, recruit, train, and manage on-site execution while steering vendor negotiations and sponsorships.

The role requires weekend availability, travel across PA & WV, and strong leadership and communication skills to deliver measurable results for our Renewal initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications preferred or equivalent demonstrated skills.
• Experience in sales/marketing, planning events and/or managing sales/retail teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strategic thinking with project management skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Weekend work: 40 weekends per year minimum.
• Willingness to travel across PA & WV.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Event & Retail Manager to drive non-media lead generation and local awareness through events and partnerships.
• Provide in-field coaching, training, and booth work.
• Recruit and interview candidates.
• Conduct classroom training on staff methodology, rebuttals, processes, and procedures.
• Manage department calendar; negotiate with sponsors and vendors; procure space and ensure value.
• Oversee participation in events, sponsorships, and lead-generation opportunities.
• Handle on-site administration and resource supervision.
• Collaborate with Renewal partners to drive results.
• Communicate results and strategy with management.
• Provide guidance and direction to Retail Marketing Representatives.

• Assist the Event & Retail Manager to cost-effectively drive non-media lead generation and local awareness through events/shows, showrooms, corporate partnerships, retail partnerships, community groups, HOA's, company-created events and more.
• Provide in-field coaching, training, and booth work.
• Recruit and interview candidates.
• Conduct classroom training on staff methodology, rebuttals, processes, and procedures.
• Manage the department calendar, negotiate with event sponsors and outside vendors, procure space, and obtain the best value for investments.
• Oversee participation in events, sponsorships, retail partnerships, and creation of lead-generation opportunities based on established objectives.
• Handle on-site administration, resource supervision, and other implementation details.
• Collaborate with partners within Renewal to drive results.
• Communicate results and strategy with management.
• Provide guidance, training, and work direction to Retail Marketing Representatives.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in marketing/communications preferred or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities.
• Some experience in sales/marketing, planning events and/or managing sales/retail teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically, with strong project management skills, including attention to detail.
• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• Significant weekend work requirement of a minimum of 40 partial or full weekends per year.
• Requires travel throughout the service area: PA & WV.
