This role represents nursing leadership by exhibiting professionalism and supporting the hospital's mission, vision, and values.The House Supervisor provides oversight of staff delivering general nursing care, working independently while also fostering teamwork and collaboration. This position delivers high-quality nursing services to a broad range of customers, including patients, employees, administration, management, physicians, and visitors.Key accountabilities include maintaining current knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence-based practices, ensuring compliance, rounding frequently on all nursing units, and serving as the patient placement officer in the absence of a patient placement officer. During off-hours, the House Supervisor coordinates hospital operations, including acting as incident command center at the start of emergency situations, scheduling surgeries, activating the on-call surgical team, obtaining necessary supplies from materials management, and responding to all codes and rapid responses.
