What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead, perform, coordinate, and monitor all functions related to the Coding and Data Integrity Unit
- Conduct staffing analyses and ensure the competency of staff through orientation and training
- Develop policies and procedures for the coding process
- Identify areas for improvement to enhance coding efficiency and operations
- Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and department personnel to facilitate effective communication

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Administration and active RHIA, or Associate Degree in Health Information Technology, or active RHIT and/or Certified Coding Specialist accreditation through AHIMA
- 3-5 years of related experience in a lead role within a highly progressive acute care setting
- Experience with training, quality improvement, compliance, and record keeping
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead a team, creatively solve problems, and meet tight deadlines
