Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Supervisor for Hematology to lead daily operations and ensure timely, accurate testing. The role emphasizes staff coaching, technical oversight of high‑complexity assays, and maintaining quality systems.

Strong leadership and communication are required for a fast‑paced lab environment. The successful candidate will manage resources, partner with laboratory leadership, and drive process improvements while supporting PHI confidentiality

Our mission is to advance the health and wellbeing of our communities as a leader in clinical laboratory solutions. **Quality is in our DNA -- is it in yours?**This full-time opportunity is on **second shift**. **In this role, you will:*** Lead the day-to-day operations of the Hematology department, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality laboratory testing.* Supervise, develop, and support laboratory staff through coaching, training, competency assessment, and performance management.* Provide technical oversight for moderate and high-complexity testing, including review of patient results, quality control, and corrective action when needed.* Maintain departmental quality assurance, quality control, safety, compliance, policies, and procedures.* Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.* Manage departmental resources, including supplies, inventory, expenses, and equipment needs.* Partner with laboratory leadership and serve as a technical resource to support operational goals and foster a culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional service. **All you need is:*** Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science); **OR** qualifies as a supervisor under current CLIA regulations.* Six (6) years of laboratory training or experience, or both, in a laboratory performing high-complexity testing.
