Job summary

Job description

In Hearing and Speech at Main Campus Lowder Building

Work schedule will be Full‑time on the Day Shift, Monday–Friday 7:30 am–4:00 pm; occasional weekends.

Summary

Provides direct and indirect patient care services and serves as consultant to medical staff, ancillary staff and the community Monday through Friday with the potential for on‑call, holidays and weekends. Assumes responsibility for the supervision of staff of the audiology and speech‑language pathology program.

Other Information
  • Working knowledge of pediatric audiology and/or speech language pathology.
  • Ability to administer and interpret developmentally appropriate, comprehensive evaluations and communicate impressions and recommendations to referral sources and families.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to communicate with patients, caregivers, and referral sources.
  • Positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities; values diversity; is empathetic, supportive, flexible, a creative problem solver and an advocate; and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Projects a strong belief in own ideas and abilities.

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support.

  • 3 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Audiology‑Speech.
