Job Overview

The Supervisor, Global Supply Chain oversees a medium to large team involved in supply chain operations. The role involves applying Lean Materials Management techniques to improve processes and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of UAW employees.
• Use SAP to track materials and inventory.
• Coordinate material and production requirements to meet schedules.
• Expedite movement of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
• Manage data such as inventory levels and production metrics.
• Collaborate with team members across functions.
• Ensure compliance with local and national agreements.
• Meet budget and cost targets.
• Implement quality standards using appropriate tools.
• Train, develop, and evaluate employees.
• Handle performance and disciplinary discussions.
• Schedule overtime in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: Associate Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field; APICS CPIM certification.

Experience

Required: Minimal supervisory experience.

Preferred: Over 1 year of supervisory experience; experience in warehousing and lean manufacturing environments.

Competencies and Behaviors

Preferred: Knowledge of continuous improvement, pull systems/Kanban, SAP or similar ERP, scheduling, and inventory control systems.
