Job summary

Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital is seeking a Supervisor of General Maintenance to lead the facilities team, manage preventive maintenance programs, and ensure building safety and reliability of all systems.

You will work 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, supervise staff, coordinate with operations managers, and uphold Geisinger standards while delivering a safe, functional environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program- (Required)
• Minimum of 5 years-Skilled labor (Required)
• Minimum of 1 year-Managerial/Supervisory (Required)
• Valid Driver's License - Default Issuing Body

Responsibilities

• Oversee department personnel and building/grounds maintenance across all systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with operations managers to align templates and scheduling guidelines; ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed.
• Lead a team to keep facilities safe, functional and ready for daily operations in a healthcare setting.
• Ensure adherence to Geisinger policies and procedures; participate in departmental meetings and training.

Job Summary

Supervises department personnel and oversees the building and grounds maintenance and repair of all systems and equipment within the clinics. Job Duties: Proactively meets with and creates partnership with operations managers in order to coordinate optimal template designs, ensure appropriate maintenance and answer questions and solutions including system template standards. Works closely with scheduling designates assigned to each department assuring that schedules are built to reflect documented scheduling guidelines. Attends specialty departmental meetings to ensure alignment of templates to operations and educate operational personnel on Geisinger template standards and processes. Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
