Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Idaho Falls d/b/a Heartland Pharmacy - Idaho Falls is seeking a dedicated supervisor to lead fulfillment technicians and ensure accurate, timely medication preparation for courier delivery.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, state pharmacy technician credentials, and 5+ years of related experience. You will train staff, manage workflow, perform audits, and collaborate with leadership to enhance operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration as per state requirements; national certification preferred (PTCB).
• Advanced proficiency with computer applications related to department operations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage, and schedule technicians within budget and labor targets.
• Develop training materials for departments and update as needed.
• Evaluate and modify workflow processes to meet deadlines, accuracy and efficiency targets.
• Ensure all medications are complete and accurate prior to departures for courier delivery.
• Assign and manage work volume per technician duties, measuring productivity and accuracy.
• Ensure technicians are trained on workflow areas and processes within established timeframes.
• Manage daily automation audits to ensure accurate packaging and filling of medications.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations with feedback and improvement goals.
• Assist with quarter-end inventory prep and physical inventory.
• Support daily functions such as filling, stocking, prepacking and automation coordination.
• Lead by example, uphold policies, and promote teamwork and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to keep workflow smooth.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws regulating dispensing.

Supervises daily operations of fulfillment technicians. Monitors daily activities and manages work schedules to ensure quality, production and service levels are maintained.

Essential Job Functions (include the following):

• Hire, train, manage, and schedules technicians to ensure adequate coverage for workflow within budgeted labor/Rx while keeping overtime low
• Develop training materials for departments and update as needed
• Evaluate and modify workflow processes and implement changes as necessary to meet deadlines, accuracy and efficiency targets.
• Ensure all medications are complete and accurate prior to scheduled departures with sufficient time for the medications to be prepared for courier delivery.
• Assign and manage work volume appropriate to each technician's duties, measuring both productivity and accuracy.
• Ensure Fulfillment technicians are fully trained on assigned workflow area and processes within established time period.
• Manage daily automation audits to ensure accurate packaging and filling of medications.
• In coordination with Director of Operations, develop/conduct regularly scheduled performance evaluations. Provide individual feedback for each team members and document performance improvement goals and objectives.
• Assist with quarter-end inventory prep and physical inventory.
• Work as needed on daily functions which may include, but is not limited to, filling, stocking, prepacking and working with automation to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries
• Lead by example in all areas of role and supporting the non-negotiable attributes; attitude, dependability, commitment, productivity, efficiency and upholding policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education and/or Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of related experience (technical knowledge/skills may substitute for experience)
• Advanced proficiency in computer applications related to department operations and job function.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
