Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Food Production Supervisor to plan, administer and direct all unit activities related to food production and culinary operations in the Food & Nutrition Services Department.

You will lead production staff, ensure compliance with standards and coordinate with other departments to deliver a unified patient and visitor dining experience. Associate degree in culinary or equivalent experience required; CFPM and allergen certification within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Must have Associate Degree in culinary or 3 years of lead experience in food service/hospitality.
• CFPM certification within 90 days of employment.
• Allergen certification within 90 days of employment.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• 5 years of related experience preferred.
• Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
• Strong purchasing, culinary, math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, administer and direct all unit activities related to food production and culinary operations; ensure compliance with Food & Nutrition Services standards and regulatory agencies.
• Lead food production staff and establish effective relationships with other departments to deliver a unified patient/visitor dining experience.
• Support and coordinate with departments to maintain high service quality and safety standards.

Expected pay for this position is $21.72 - $25.55/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Food Production Supervisor plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to food production, culinary operations and complying with the standards established by the Food & Nutrition Services Department and regulatory agencies. Lead food production staff. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, visitors and Mission Partners.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in culinary or three years of experience as a lead in the food service or hospitality industry.
• Licensure/Certifications: Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) through ANSI approved program within 90 days of employment.
• Allergen certification within 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor Degree
• Experience: 5 Years of experience in related position, such as Food Production Supervisor in a Healthcare setting.
• Licensure/Certifications: Certified Dietary Manager.
• Other skills/knowledge: Purchasing, Culinary, Math, and Computer skills.
