Cox Automotive's Manheim Atlanta Recon Services is seeking a Supervisor for Fleet Operations to lead the mechanic shop, supervise staff, and coordinate daily reconditioning work to meet sale readiness goals.

You will ensure repairs meet standards, manage inventories and sublet partnerships, drive safety compliance, and partner with market teams to optimize quality and efficiency across the shop. This role demands strong leadership and a focus on results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, plus 5 years related experience.
• 2–5 years of vehicle reconditioning shop experience.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations preferred.

Supervisor, Fleet Operations (Manheim Atlanta Recon Services)

This position assists the Mechanic Shop Manager in managing and overseeing the daily operation of the mechanic shop, supervising shop employees, and directing the work in an efficient and productive manner to meet required daily goals and Manheim's quality and service standards when preparing vehicles for sale.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure vehicles are repaired and painted to meet Manheim's standards and customer or account requirements.
• Purchase equipment, materials and supplies for the shop and oversee maintenance and protection of shop equipment.
• Maintain and develop staff by recruiting and training employees and providing educational opportunities.
• Oversee estimates for collision repair, lot damage, transport damage, etc.
• Review work volumes, planning and continuously monitoring staffing levels.
• Set an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values and ensure that all employees are treated with respect.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
• Partner with various market level support teams to ensure effective and efficient operational processes.
• Oversee the quality control of vehicles.
• Communicate and resolve reconditioning goals.
• Measure process efficiency and effectiveness and implement improvement strategies.
• Manage Mechanics completing detailed inspections, preparing reconditioning estimates and completing repairs.
• Oversee sublet vendor partnerships in the Body Shop and Detail department.
• Complete minor to complex diagnoses and repairs to all vehicle systems.
• Handle and dispose of all fluids in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations.
• Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance.
• Evaluate job performances and conduct performance appraisals.
• Direct staff to ensure a high level of quality and accuracy in their repair work.
• Approve and forward bills to the appropriate personnel to ensure accurate billing.
• Assist in counseling employees, monitoring and evaluating employee job performance, and conducting performance appraisals.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED and 5 years of relevant experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• 2 - 5 years of vehicle reconditioning mechanical shop experience required.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations preferred
• Excellent people, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Strong communication and interaction skills required.
• Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills are required.
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-30 pounds (light hand tools, etc.) Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

USD 55,600.00 - 83,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $55,600.00 - $83,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
