Living Spaces in La Mirada, CA is seeking an Expense Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the Expense AP team and oversee invoice processing, employee expense reports, and corporate card activity. You will ensure accurate coding, timely vendor payments, and strong internal controls while supporting month-end close and audits.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to resolve AP issues, administer vendor master data and the Concur platform, and drive process improvements and policy

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and GAAP.

• Oversee daily accounts payable operations and payments, ensuring accurate processing and cash flow.
• Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment documentation for proper coding and policy compliance.
• Reconcile AP with sub-ledgers and GL; assist month-end close and financial reporting.
• Maintain vendor records, master data integrity, and tax documentation (W-9, 1099, etc.).
• Administer Concur expense management and corporate card activities; monitor policy compliance.
• Provide guidance on AP procedures and drive process improvements; back up Merchandising AP as needed.

Position SummaryThe Expense Accounts Payable Supervisor leads the Expense AP team and oversees invoice processing, payments, employee expense reports, corporate card activity, vendor compliance, and month end close support. This role helps maintain strong internal controls, timely processing, policy compliance, and continued process improvement.Position DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Oversee daily accounts payable operations and payment activities to ensure accurate processing, timely vendor payments, and effective cash flow management.Review and approve invoices, expense reports, checks, vouchers, and payment documentation to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with company policies and internal controls.Reconcile accounts payable transactions, subsidiary ledgers, and general ledger accounts; prepare account analyses and resolve discrepancies.Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accrual preparation, reconciliations, and financial reporting requirements.Ensure accurate record retention and documentation to support audits, tax reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.Administer vendor tax compliance activities, including collection and validation of W-9, W-8BEN, 1099, and other required tax documentation.Maintain and oversee vendor records, account setup, updates, and master data integrity.Administer the Concur expense management platform, including user access, approval workflows, delegates, corporate card administration, and policy configuration.Monitor employee expense reports, corporate card activity, and outstanding transactions to ensure policy compliance and timely resolution.Partner with employees, managers, vendors, HR, and cross-functional departments to resolve accounts payable and travel-and-expense issues.Provide guidance and training on accounts payable procedures, expense reporting, corporate card requirements, and policy compliance.Identify process improvement opportunities, support audit and internal control initiatives, and serve as backup for the Merchandising AP Supervisor as needed.QualificationsEducation/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience with accounts payable processing preferably with at least two years in a large enterprise supporting high-volume accounts payable transactions. Minimum 2 years of experience with leading or supervising a team within accounts payable. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Dynamics AX or related software. Excellent PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel is required.Certificates and Licenses: None required.Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will help to lead the Expense Account Team. Will work through the Manager, Accounts Payable on performance management task.Position Hiring RangeThe hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy.
