Franciscan Health Dyer Campus is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to plan, organize, and control the activities of EVS staff across the campus in Dyer, Indiana.

The role focuses on scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing, monitoring supplies, enforcing safety policies, conducting performance evaluations, interviewing, and training staff to maintain high cleanliness standards in patient care areas.

Qualifications

• Preferred High School Diploma/GED.
• 2 years EVS Preferred.
• Dept of Trans Training (DOTTRN).
• IEHA Certification - International Executive Housekeepers Association, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Assign and schedule cleaning of areas at designated campuses, to ensure adequate staff coverage.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels by appropriately scheduling staff’s days on/off.
• Monitor the usage of supplies and equipment, and ensures that adequate stock is available.
• Observe and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and rules to ensure a safe work environment.
• Participate in people management activities for direct team members, such as conducting performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews.
• Train staff in cleaning tasks, department procedures, and policies.

The Franciscan Health Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor plans, organizes, and controls the activities of the personnel engaged in all phases of environmental services. This position ensures the proper procedures, frequencies of service, and methods are followed. The Supervisor maintains cooperation with staff and other department, and assists with plans for improving environmental services.
