Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking an EVS Supervisor to manage daily operations of the EVS department and oversee staff including EVS Workers and Floor Specialists.

The role includes recruiting, scheduling, and HR activities for the team, with supervisory responsibilities directly reporting to the EVS Operations Manager. The position requires a 3rd shift and full-time commitment on-site.

Qualifications

• 3 years related supervisory experience in a healthcare related setting preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• ASHES certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling of staff and distribution of work assignments, including ensuring all assigned work is completed per hospital, infection prevention, and departmental policy.
• Responds to internal and external customer requests and handles complaints in accordance to hospital and departmental standards in order to ensure every experience is outstanding.
• Ensures that all waste is handled, disposed and transported in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Assist housekeeping staff with daily responsibilities as needed.
• Act as a first responder in all emergency situations; and represents the department in lieu of EVS Operations Manager when directed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies within parameters of departmental budgetary guidelines.

Summary:

The EVS Supervisor is responsible for the day to operations of the EVS department and is directly responsible for managing all EVS staff including; EVS Workers, EVS Project/ Floor Specialists, and EVS Work Leaders. The EVS Supervisors are responsible for all human resource activities for the staff that directly reports to them including all recruiting, disciplinary functions, as well as all scheduling of the EVS staff. They are also report directly to the EVS Operations Manager.

Hourly Rate:

$21.85 - $32.83 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
