Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor for the 2nd (Evenings) shift, with oversight over the 3rd shift. Shift hours are Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, with rotating weekends and a full-time schedule.

The supervisor will assist the manager in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling department activities to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent required.
• Some College degree preferred.
• 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Previous housekeeping/ESD experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling department activities to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Provide technical resource and act as a team member to support operations.
• Contribute to goal achievement through effective work coordination and resource management.

This is a full time, evening shift (2nd) position, but will also have oversight over the 3rd shift. Hours Monday - Friday: 3pm - 11:30pm Rotating Weekends Overview The Environmental Services Supervisor assists the manager in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the activities of the department functions which are necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Participate in the work activities of assigned teams through providing assistance, serving as technical resource and participating in the work as a member of the team. Contributes to the success of the department through effective work coordination, management of resources, and participation in goal accomplishment. Support and communicates Sentara mission, values, goals, and directions to assigned team members. Education High School Grad or Equivalent (Required) Some College (Preferred) Experience 1 year of Supervisory experience (Required) Previous housekeeping/ESD experience (Strongly Preferred) We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $25.22 - $37.72 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
