  • Lead and supervise teams; train, mentor, and guide team members and ensure resources are available.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet department and institutional goals.

Job description

This position is responsible for supervising environmental services staff. Maintain established work schedules to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment. Ensure sound Infection Control Practices for internal moves and driving special room-requested cleanings during the assigned shift by applying sound management and human relations practices. Schedule: Monday - Friday 5 pm - 1:30 am with rotating weekends

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supervising Environmental Services Specialists in maintaining established work schedules to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment.
  • Contribute to the execution of environmental services projects and operational implementation of programs.
  • Manage space changes across campus to ensure cleaning standards are met for staff/office moves.
  • Support development and implementation of standards, policies, and procedures for Environmental Services.
  • Research new techniques to be used in own area; Stay updated with the latest trends in the environmental services industry.
  • Lead and supervise teams; Train, mentor, and guide team members and ensure they have all the resources required to complete their assigned tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Education and/or Training
  • High School Diploma/ GED required.
  • Preferably one year of post-high school education (Management, Business Administration, or related field) and/ or exposure to leadership training and responsibilities.
Minimum Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in environmental services or relevant area.
  • Some experience implementing and monitoring environmental services cleaning policies, procedures, and programs
  • Experience leading/monitoring teams/ resources/ timelines within area.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations, laws and standards.
  • Proven performance in earlier role.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $22.00 - $38.50 per hour for the role of Supervisor - Environmental Services.
