Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Supervisor for our ATL Lab site in Georgia. You will lead environmental compliance, waste handling, and safety programs to ensure regulatory conformity and a safe workplace.

The role requires 3–5 years in EHS, a relevant degree, and strong knowledge of regulations (RCRA, SPCC, OSHA). Excellent organization and communication are essential for audits, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or safety field is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field.
  • Working knowledge of environment/safety regulations (RCRA, Hazardous Waste, Stormwater, SPCC, OSHA, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate environmental compliance programs with regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Assist interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Support permitting, reporting, inspections, audits and recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate waste management including hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling and disposal.
  • Support waste minimization, recycling, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist with stormwater, wastewater, and air compliance programs.
  • Track inspections, corrective actions, and regulatory commitments to completion.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain environmental records and ensure documentation is current.
  • Assist in regulatory reporting such as TRI/Form R and waste reporting.
  • Coordinate sampling, monitoring, and environmental assessments as needed.
  • Coordinate site safety programs and initiatives to promote a safe work environment.
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections for hazards and compliance.
  • Assist incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate employee safety training and contractor safety requirements.
  • Assist PPE assessments, training, and compliance monitoring.
  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness.
  • Track safety metrics, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Promote awareness of environmental, health, and safety policies and practices.

JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL FUNCTION

The EHS Supervisor implements & improves envrionmental compliance programs. Leads site management in storage, handling & disposal of chemicals & solid waste. Ensures proper disposal of wastewater to ensure operations are in compliance with state & federal safety regulations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate environmental compliance programs to ensure adherence with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with the interpretation and implementation of environmental regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Support environmental permitting, reporting, inspections, audits & recordkeeping activities.
  • Coordinate waste management programs, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal activities.
  • Support waste minimization, recycling, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist with stormwater, wastewater, and air compliance programs.
  • Track environmental inspections, audit findings, corrective actions, and regulatory commitments through completion.
  • Participate in environmental incident investigations and support root cause analysis efforts.
  • Maintain environmental records and ensure required documentation is current and readily available.
  • Assist in preparing regulatory reports, including but not limited to TRI/Form R reporting and waste reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate sampling, monitoring, and environmental assessments as needed.
  • Coordinate site safety programs and initiatives to promote a safe work environment.
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company safety requirements.
  • Assist in incident investigations, near-miss reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Coordinate employee safety training programs, orientation programs, and contractor safety requirements.
  • Assist with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments, training, and compliance monitoring.
  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities.
  • Track safety metrics, inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
  • Promote employee awareness of environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety, manufacturing, industrial operations, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of environmental/safety regulations, including:
    • RCRA
    • Hazardous Waste Management
    • Stormwater and Wastewater Programs
    • SPCC Programs
    • OSHA Regulations
    • Hazard Communication
    • Emergency Response Programs
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and EHS management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
  • Certified Wastewater Pretreatment Operator.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution
