Job summary

Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Jefferson City, MO seeks a Supervisor, Educator Certification – Conduct and Investigation. • Four or more years of progressive experience in reviewing transcripts and applications, certification work within education, or closely related experience.
• Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Responsibilities

• Receives, interprets, and processes all criminal history results received from the Highway Patrol MACHS system.
• Prepares case files to be reviewed at monthly background clearance review meetings.
• Assists with background investigations by discretely and confidentially requesting court, school and/or Missouri and Non-Missouri state agency documentation.
• Evaluates transcripts and creates correspondence relative to the issuance of educator certificates, certification standards, course deficiencies, interpretation of college credits, etc.
• Reviews applications, transcripts, and other documents and issues specific classifications of certificates of license to teach.
• Creates, maintains, and monitors discipline case files.
• Collects, verifies, and enters data for issuance of teaching certificates.
• Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.

Education
