New York City Department of Transportation seeks a Supervisor Dockbuilder to oversee a team of dockbuilders and equipment operators on Staten Island Ferry waterfront structures. Under general direction, reporting directly to the Director of Ferry Operations, supervises the work of a group of Dockbuilders and other workers, including but not limited to Crane Operators, Tractor Operators, and Oilers, involved in the construction, maintenance and repair of the waterfront structures at the Staten Island Ferry; performs related work.

One (1) year of permanent service in the title of Dockbuilder.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT: Preference will be given to candidate who possess a motor vehicle driver's license valid in the state of New York, with no restrictions. This license must be maintained throughout duration of employment in this position.
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
