Job summary

Imagine in Minneapolis is seeking a Supervisor: Exhibit and Retail Operations to oversee daily floor activities, lead frontline staff, and guarantee a consistent, high-quality guest experience.

You will help with staff scheduling, training, safety, and POS operations while promoting teamwork and outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervisory or team-lead experience in retail, attractions, or hospitality.
• Prior experience in guest service or customer-facing roles.
• Experience handling cash, POS systems, and shift operations.
• Seasoned safety ambassador.
• Background in team-based work environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations on the floor to ensure smooth exhibit and retail activity.
• Support the General Manager by assisting with staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Act as a first point of contact for guest questions, concerns, or escalations.
• Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and suggestive selling.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking as needed.
• Provide feedback and coaching to frontline staff to improve performance and engagement.
• Communicate updates, goals, and expectations from management to the team.
• Support the maintenance of a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Assist with implementing promotions, events, and other operational initiatives.
• Meet sales goals and criteria.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to ensure operational efficiency.

Supervisor: Exhibit and Retail Operations

The Supervisor supports the General Manager by overseeing day-to-day floor operations and ensuring consistency and high-quality guest experience. This role is responsible for supervising frontline staff, maintaining operational standards, assisting with employee training, and ensuring the smooth operation of exhibit and retail areas. The Supervisor serves as a key point of contact for staff inquiries and guest concerns, while upholding all company policies and procedures.

Experience

• 1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience in retail, attractions, or hospitality preferred.
• Prior experience in guest service or customer-facing roles required.
• Experience handling cash, POS systems, and shift operations a plus.
• Seasoned safety ambassador
• Background in team-based work environments preferred.

Physical And Mental Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high guest traffic.
• Manual dexterity to operate a computer.

• Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally for the purposes of moving equipment on and off shelves.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to sit for long periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff in English.
• Skilled in the use of computer and office equipment.
• Proficient in activities requiring manual dexterity of both hands. Primarily an onsite position.
