Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of supervisory or team-lead experience in retail, attractions or hospitality preferred.
  • Prior guest service or customer-facing experience required.
  • Experience handling cash, POS systems, and shift operations is a plus.
  • Seasoned safety ambassador and team-based work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily floor operations for exhibit and retail activity.
  • Support the General Manager with scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Handle guest questions, concerns, or escalations with a professional approach.
  • Lead by example in customer service and suggestive selling.
  • Assist with opening/closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
  • Monitor inventory and assist with stocking as needed.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to staff to improve performance.
  • Communicate updates and goals from management to the team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Contribute to promotions, events, and other operational initiatives.

Supervisor: Exhibit and Retail Operations

Position Scope: The Supervisor supports the General Manager by overseeing day-to-day floor operations and ensuring consistency and high-quality guest experience. This role is responsible for supervising frontline staff, maintaining operational standards, assisting with employee training, and ensuring the smooth operation of exhibit and retail areas. The Supervisor serves as a key point of contact for staff inquiries and guest concerns, while upholding all company policies and procedures.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience in retail, attractions, or hospitality preferred.
  • Prior experience in guest service or customer-facing roles required.
  • Experience handling cash, POS systems, and shift operations a plus.
  • Seasoned safety ambassador
  • Background in team-based work environments preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations on the floor to ensure smooth exhibit and retail activity.
  • Support the General Manager by assisting with staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Act as a first point of contact for guest questions, concerns, or escalations.
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and suggestive selling.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking as needed.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to frontline staff to improve performance and engagement.
  • Communicate updates, goals, and expectations from management to the team.
  • Support the maintenance of a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Assist with implementing promotions, events, and other operational initiatives.
  • Meet sales goals and criteria.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to ensure operational efficiency.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high guest traffic.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer.
  • Correctable vision and hearing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Clear, easy to understand oral communication ability.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally for the purposes of moving equipment on and off shelves.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to sit for long periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff in English.
  • Skilled in the use of computer and office equipment.
  • Proficient in activities requiring manual dexterity of both hands. Primarily an onsite position.
