Job summary

Centralus Health is seeking a Dietary Supervisor for Nutrition & Dining at Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, NY. You will oversee shift operations, production, service and retail activities to deliver high-quality meals for patients, visitors and staff while meeting regulatory standards.

The role requires a 2-year degree in Nutrition or related field and at least 1 year of supervisory experience in food service; ServSafe certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education - 2-year degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business Administration or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Experience - Minimum of 1 year of supervisor-level experience in food service, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Licensure - Not required

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, promote effective communication, demonstrate team-based management, and assist with additional responsibilities as needed.
• Oversee meal preparation, production, quality, taste, appearance, catering, and adherence to dietary requirements.
• Manage retail and cash handling, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and end-of-month and end-of-year documentation and recordkeeping.
• Coordinate vendor management, equipment and inventory needs, daily food service management software use, and verification and entry of diet orders and meal selections as the SME.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

The Dietary Supervisor - Nutrition & Dining

Roles And Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills And Experience

• Education - 2-year degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business Administration or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Experience - Minimum of 1 year of supervisor-level experience in food service, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Licensure - Not required

Preferred Skills And Experience

• RD, CDM, CFPP preferred
• Experience working in a healthcare environment
• Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certified
• Cooking experience

Physical Requirements

• Standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling and reaching. May be exposed to areas of extreme heat or cold. Primary work location may include loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, exposure to sharp objects. A licensed ability to drive may be necessary.

• Shift – Full Time - Days/Evening
• Shifts may range between day and evening hours as scheduled by the department

Pay Range Disclosure

• Standard Rate of $21.42 to $27.85 per hour plus benefits
