McDonald’s Global Technology seeks a Supervisor, Design Operations to enhance how design work gets done across Experience Design. You’ll lead operational execution, improve processes, and support platforms while gaining exposure to multiple Design Operations specialties.

You will onboard/offboard XD team members, plan routines, draft communications, and help grow knowledge management with Confluence. A design-focused degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years in design operations, research operations, product design, or a related role.
• Understanding of how design work happens across design, research, product, and engineering.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Figma, Confluence, UserTesting, and Dscout.
• Familiarity with AI tools and workflows that support administration, design, and knowledge management.
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work with moderate oversight.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Supervisor, Design Operations

The Supervisor, Design Operations supports the Experience Design team by improving how design work gets done. This role focuses on operational execution, process improvement, platform support, and growing exposure to different Design Operations specialties and focus areas. You will work independently on scoped initiatives with guidance from Experience Design leaders.

Duties

Enable the Global Experience Design team by maintaining strong operational foundations and helping teams work effectively.

People

• Support onboarding and offboarding for full-time and contract XD team members, evolving documentation as business needs change.
• Plan and facilitate team routines, learning opportunities, and cultural initiatives.
• Draft and share routine team communications.

Process

• Apply design and operational frameworks to improve workflows.
• Identify operational gaps and friction points and recommend practical improvements.
• Own small- to medium-scope initiatives, including process updates, templates, playbooks, and internal programs.

Platform

• Maintain and improve knowledge management systems, including Confluence and shared libraries.
• Support design and research platforms by managing access and documenting best practices.

Qualifications

Successful candidates bring practical operating skills and the mindset to effectively support design teams at scale.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in design, communication, HCI, applied social science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in design operations, research operations, product design, or a related role.
• Understanding of how design work happens across design, research, product, and engineering.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Figma, Confluence, UserTesting, and Dscout.
• Familiarity with AI tools and workflows that support administration, design, and knowledge management.
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work with moderate oversight.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this role is 104,482 -130,602 per year. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we may also consider your experience, and other job-related factors.
