Job summary

CROSS SAFETY MANAGEMENT LLC is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to ensure crew safety on client sites and promote safety culture in all operations. The role emphasizes understanding lagging and leading indicators, toolbox talks, and adherence to safety standards.

The candidate will enforce safety programs, conduct site inspections, investigate incidents, and coordinate safety training and documentation. Travel to project sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Construction Industry methods and OSHA standards.
• OSHA 500 and/or its equivalent or BCSP certification.
• 6-10 years safety experience in construction industry.
• Basic working knowledge of MS Office and Windows.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enforce Site Safety Programs for assigned project(s).
• Identify, eliminate and control hazardous conditions to prevent injuries.
• Enforce job site safety standards and project safety programs.
• Ensure safety of personnel and property, aiming for accident-free projects.

In this position you will be required to ensure the behavior of the crew (when working on a client site) is in accordance with company safety culture. A qualified candidate understands the lagging and leading safety indicators and promotes a philosophy that achieves established goals. You must have knowledge of job site/area specific safety requirements, safety equipment, material procurement, training requirements and tracking of training.

Responsibilities as a Site Safety Supervisor - Must be able to manage and enforce Site Safety Programs for the assigned project(s) by identifying, eliminating and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage. By using and enforcing job specific safety standards, best management practices, and Site-Specific safety program, the Site Safety Supervisor shall ensure the safety of all persons and property on the job site resulting in an accident/incident free project.

Site Details

• Enforce safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, Local regulations (including OSHA), as well as Site Specific policies and owner/contractual requirements.
• Conduct daily and/or weekly (as appropriate or specified by job) job site inspections.
• Record observations from site inspections and complete required reports.
• Investigate, corroborate, document, all accidents, incidents, and near misses on the jobsite.
• Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and laws.
• Conduct weekly "Toolbox Safety Meeting' and document content and attendance.
• Conduct Safety Orientation for new employees.
• Advise project staff on site specific safety issues/guideline
• Evaluate the need for safety training and make recommendations
