Job summary

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. is seeking a senior leader to oversee workplace and corporate real estate projects across the enterprise from its hybrid Nebraska location.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Real Estate, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  • Experience leading corporate office workplace or corporate real estate projects.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to coach and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of space planning, occupancy/utilization strategies, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and related workplace tech.

Leads a team responsible for identifying, implementing, and managing workplace and real estate solutions that support enterprise business objectives, workplace standards, and associate experience. Oversees workplace projects across the organization, including office renovations, relocations, workplace design, space utilization, and occupancy initiatives. Partners with internal business leaders and external vendors to deliver innovative, cost-effective workplace solutions that promote productivity, collaboration, and associate well-being while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $86,000-$114,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Supervise and provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and development to of a team responsible for workplace and corporate real estate projects across the enterprise.

Lead the execution of workplace projects including office renovations, relocations, space planning, workplace design, occupancy initiatives, and workplace environment improvements while ensuring alignment with company objectives and workplace standards.

Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop, recommend, and implement workplace solutions that support business needs, enhance associate experience, and promote innovation, collaboration, and productivity.

Manage team workloads, project priorities, budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery and effective utilization of company resources.

Support workplace strategy initiatives including space utilization planning, workplace standards, flexible work environments, and continuous evaluation of workplace programs, processes, and solutions.

Foster a collaborative and accountable work environment while driving continuous improvement of workplace processes, systems, vendor partnerships, and service delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Bachelor's degree in business, Real Estate, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience leading corporate office workplace, construction, corporate real estate, or related projects, including space acquisition, design, build-out, renovation, and workplace implementation activities.

Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and support associates while successfully managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.

Strong knowledge of workplace and corporate real estate functions including space planning, occupancy and utilization strategies, workplace design, workplace technologies, furniture solutions, and vendor management.

Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, interpret project, RFP, and contract documentation, participate in vendor selections through RFP processes, and provide data-driven recommendations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, Adobe/Bluebeam, and related workplace management technologies, along with the ability to manage budgets and travel up to 15%.

Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including occasional in-office attendance at our Omaha, NE location as required to meet business needs and support team collaboration

PREFERRED:

Experience supporting workplace strategy, hybrid workplace environments, and large corporate office environment initiatives.

Experience managing relationships with architectural, construction, design, workplace consulting, or other real estate service partners.

Knowledge of change management and workplace experience practices.
