Job Summary

Plans, coordinates, implements, and monitors activities that increase cash collections for the unit. Responsible for daily coordination and monitoring of collectors' work to maximize and ensure accurate recovery of funds. Identifies internal and external issues that impede the collection process. Estimated salary range: $55,952.22 - $72,737.89 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional education or experience preferred.
Additional Qualifications
  • AA degree preferred or a minimum of 10 years of business office experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient in contract interpretation.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, explanation of benefits, and payment methodologies.
  • Understanding of Correct Coding Initiative, revenue codes, DRG guidelines, ICD-9, CPT-4, and HCPCS codes.
  • Experience with complex reporting strategies and stratification.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement tools and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Minimum required experience: 10 years.
