Job summary

Charter Communications is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead field construction projects, coordinating in-house and contract crews to deliver new builds and maintenance with safety and quality at the forefront.

You'll work with engineers to design layouts, inspect sites, manage permits, review invoices, and mentor a team to achieve on-time project success across diverse weather and sites in the Madison area.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of construction experience in field operations.
  • Associates degree or equivalent in electronics or related field with relevant certifications.
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and safety focus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and measure materials accurately.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and safety standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and developers to design plant layouts, sketch equipmentplacementsand prepare materials lists
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with agreements and industry standards

  • Reconcile invoices against work completed in the field and review damage claims
  • Manage permitting and make-ready processes, keeping project progress on track
  • Foster positive employee relations on your team through effective support

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Associates degree in electronics,relatedfieldor equivalent
  • Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E
Experience
  • 3+ years of construction work experience

  • Proficiencywith personal computers and software including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Spectrum/ telecommunicationsproducts and services

  • Accurate measurement using tapes and devices
  • Ability to climb poles andoperateextension ladders up to 32 feet and 90 pounds
  • Recognition of wire sizes and colors
  • Cable connections in tight spaces and operation of relevant test equipment
  • Ability to perform work at heights and stand for extended periods
  • Handling small components to make cable connections
  • Use of handheld communication devices and applications
  • Ability to dig in different soil types
  • Reading complex system layouts from blueprints
  • Knowledge of mathematics, electronics, National Electric Code and National Electrical

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record meeting Spectrum standards
  • Safe operation of Spectrum vehicles and machinery for cable installation
