Job Overview

This job leads and supervises the daily operations of all personnel and processes within the department’s appointment desks. Supervises, plans, and organizes all operational functions including staffing and staff development/training within the department. Supervises the implementation of policies and procedures required for success and oversees initiatives to improve processes, maximize efficiency, serve internal and external customers, and maintain high employee morale and patient satisfaction. Supervises and leads their team according to the organization's values and expectations.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Required - High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred - Bachelor's degree.
  • Work Experience: Required - 3 years of related healthcare/clinical experience with exhibited leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in computers and software, effective communication skills, good judgment and conflict resolution skills, strong delegation skills, and flexibility to work a varied schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues and physicians to assess and improve operational procedures.
  • Supervise, train, and develop department staff.
  • Monitor performance using available data and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop systems to promote patient courtesy and responsive service delivery.
  • Handle patient complaints and requests promptly and courteously.
  • Adapt communication and behavior to suit diverse patient populations.
  • Remain informed about relevant laws, standards, and regulations, ensuring compliance.
