This position leads and supervises the daily operations of all personnel and processes within the department’s appointment desks. The incumbent plans, organizes, and directs all operational functions, including staffing, staff development, and training. They implement policies and procedures to maximize efficiency, serve customers, and maintain employee morale and patient satisfaction. The supervisor leads the unit according to organizational values and expectations.
Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
Required: 3 years of related healthcare/clinical experience with exhibited leadership or supervisory experience.
Frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects; occasionally up to 100 pounds. No exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue, and no need to perform emergency care or first aid. There is no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases. Risk of exposure to hazardous medications or waste may exist depending on duties.
