We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse Clinical Supervisor for our TCP Conroe location, to join the top-ranked children’s hospital in Texas and among the best nationally. The role involves supervising clinical staff, gathering patient information, assessing, and providing direct care.

Qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment
  • Proficiency with treatments such as nebulizer, ear irrigation, and dressing changes
  • Supervisory experience

Skills & Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Diploma from a vocational nursing school or documentation from the Texas Board of Nursing verifying an exception
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Texas
  • 1-year clinical experience
  • Additional 1-year supervisory experience preferred

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate clinical staff to ensure quality patient care and customer service
  • Schedule staff based on practice needs and budget
  • Monitor patient flow and maintain inventory of supplies and medications
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CLIA/COLA, OSHA)
  • Maintain professional behavior and presentation
  • Communicate effectively with staff via meetings, memos, and postings
  • Orient new staff and ensure timely completion of paperwork
  • Conduct or delegate educational in-services and document attendance
  • Collect patient/family data, administer medication, and support patient education
  • Demonstrate SMILES and AIDET philosophies
  • Coordinate referrals and perform laboratory tests
  • Participate in respiratory fit testing as part of workplace safety protocols

All successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing to ensure workplace safety.
