Job summary

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Core Laboratory Technical Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of Transfusion Services, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology.

Required licenses include California CLS to ASCP certification; a Master's degree is preferred and at least 5 years of medical technology experience. Pay range is $69.85–$110.28 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License or equivalent required upon hire.
• National Certification from ASCP required.
• Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 5 years of Medical Technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Transfusion Services, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology.
• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary laboratory sections to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Ensure compliance with California licensure requirements and internal SOPs.

Provides laboratory services to meet the needs of patients in accordance with accepted standards and practices. The Core Laboratory Technical Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of multidisciplinary sections of the laboratory. Defined sections of the laboratory include: Transfusion Services, Chemistry, Hematology (includes Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology).
