Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is hiring a Supervisor, Catheterization and Vascular Lab, RN for a full-time day shift. Five 8-hour days, typically starting 8am with flexibility to 7am.

On-call as needed for back-up and emergencies while serving as supervisor. The role oversees the Cath Lab operations, mentors staff, participates in budget/purchasing, and acts as a clinical resource.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• RN license required; ACLS required; RCIS preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in cath/vascular/procedural areas; leadership/supervisory experience 2+ years preferred.
• Background in IR/Cath and Angio preferred.

Responsibilities

Start Time primarily 8am, but variable to 7am due to business needs.Call Schedule: On call is on as needed basis for back up and emergency as supervisor of department.Must be with 30 minutes of facility for any required call.The Supervisor, Catheterization and Vascular Lab- Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Supervises procedural area RN's and staff including coordinating quality and customer service activities; assisting in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget; coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes; serving as a technical/clinical resource to team members; and performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. Serve as chief retention officer for areas of responsibility.Department Overview:The Cath Lab at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is a 50-person team of monitor techs, cardiovascular invasive techs, registered nurses and patient care staff for additional support. The team sees a mix of inpatient and outpatient and an average of 10 procedures per day.
