Job Summary: Working with the Principal for assigned career technical education programs and other District operations.

Qualifications: Must be certified by the State of Ohio, Department of Education as a High School Principal or Supervisor, and hold a master's degree in Education.

Requirements: BCI and FBI criminal records results less than one year old, must be submitted prior to initial employment and as required thereafter.

Performance Characteristics:

• Work independently with minimal direction.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
• Maintain high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with student and staff information.
• Act as an ambassador for the Wayne County Joint Vocational School District
• Promote public relations and deal tactfully and diplomatically with people.
• Ensure all programs are in compliance with curriculum, credentialing, licensure, and testing agencies/requirements.
• Provide recommendations for students fees.
• Manage financial operations of assigned CTE programs, including ordering, maintaining and inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate instructional articulation agreements with regional college/universities and initiate collaborative efforts designed to broaden and strengthen present articulation agreements and potential secondary and post-secondary linkages.
• Plan staffing needs and recommend staff schedules.
• Facilitate and assure an effective delivery of instruction through visits to the classroom or off-site activities during instruction.
• Develop, revise and update handbooks, course descriptions, curriculum plans and syllabi.
• Evaluate program outcomes.
• Oversee all compliance, records and reports needed for federal, state and local reporting and accrediting agencies.
• Work with administration and staff on collection of useable/meaningful data.
• Oversee and support staff and student orientation and in-service training.
