Job summary

Mission Hospital, part of the Mission Health system, seeks a Supervisor Cardiovascular Services to oversee imaging modalities, staffing, and patient care processes in the cardiovascular suite.

The role emphasizes staff training, modality safety, and collaboration with stakeholders to optimize departmental performance and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Required: Associate’s Degree in Cardiac/Vascular Imaging or closely related field.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Imaging or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years imaging experience with CV imaging background.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily imaging modality operations and staffing.
  • Train staff, new hires, and students.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality patient imaging and care.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to optimize scheduling and resources.
  • Demonstrate stewardship of department finances and supplies.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Provides efficient oversight of daily assigned modality (s) operations, appropriate staffing, and patient care processes. Acts as a role model for service excellence. Ensures continuous improvements in quality departmental services. Organizes and assists with training of staff, new hires, and student internships. Affects patient outcomes by safely performing imaging studies. Demonstrates appropriate modality screening procedures while maintaining the safety of patients, visitors, and staff that enter the imaging areas/suites. Knowledgeable of equipment and supplies needed to ensure appropriate imaging. Coordinates effective schedules by organizing departmental resources and coordinating with key stakeholders. Demonstrates stewardship in regard to financial resources.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Required Education: Associate’s Degree/Graduate from an accredited diagnostic imaging program in: Cardiac Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine/PET.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree and Graduate from an accredited program with a minimum of 3 years full time imaging experience.
  • Required License: Must meet one of the licensure pathways: Cardiac Sonographer: Must be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer with Cardiovascular Credentialing International or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Adult and/or Pediatric-Pediatric preferred).BCLS required. Nuclear Medicine: Must be ARRT or CNMT registered in Nuclear Medicine. BCLS required. Vascular Sonographer: vascular ultrasound registry from either ARDMS, ARRT or CCI. BCLS required.
  • Preferred License: ACLS, PALS (as appropriate) Required Experience: Three years of technical experience in area. Minimum 3 years practicing with strong knowledge base in cardiovascular imaging. Computer Skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Intranet software, e-mail. PACS experience.
  • Preferred Experience: 5 or more years practicing in imaging field with previous supervisory experience.
