Job summary

Hard Rock Cincinnati Casino is seeking a Front-of-House Supervisor to oversee all front-of-house restaurant operations during shifts and assist in supervising other outlets as needed.

You will lead team members, ensure service standards are met, manage scheduling, and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming dining environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of food & beverage operations experience or equivalent
  • Must analyze Food & Beverage data
  • Must deliver high level of service to guests
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead and develop a cohesive outlet team
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and POS systems
  • Background check and drug screening required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and varied shifts

Job Description:
Overview

The incumbent in this position is responsible for supervising all front-of-the-house restaurant operations and team members in specified food & beverage operations during an assigned shift and assist in supervision of all other food & beverage outlets as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Cincinnati Casino as their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
  • Opens and closes shift or work area at scheduled times; ensuring outlet is fully prepared for operation, as well as ensuring cleanliness and security of company assets.
  • Maintains administrative functions, such as scheduling, time and attendance records, and appraisals in order to ensure appropriate staffing levels and that team members are performing duties according to established service standards.
  • Assists in monitoring department budget to ensure efficient use of labor and other resources in order to achieve effective operation of the department.
  • Monitors guest service and satisfaction by interviewing guests and by observing food ratings in order to make recommendations for improvement to maintain high service standards and a positive dining experience for guests.
  • Resolves guest concerns or complaints in order to maintain positive guest relations.
  • Inspects food outlet daily to ensure a safe work environment, that equipment is operating properly and that sufficient supplies are on hand in order to achieve smooth operation of the department.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
  • Perform work regularly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    (Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
    Two (2) to four (4) years of food & beverage operations experience or a combination of education and/or work experience
  • Must be able to analyze Food and Beverage data
  • Must be able to demonstrate and deliver a high level of service to our guests
  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Has ability to lead and develop a cohesive outlet team
  • Strong computer skills to include MS word, excel, and Pos Systems
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
Additional Details

Knowledge of:

  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Management of a high-volume restaurant, bar, or similar business.
  • Standard safety and sanitation practices for food & beverage service.
  • Applicable computer systems.
  • Various positions within the restaurant, e.g., host/hostess, dining room attendant, waitperson, etc.
  • Food, food product, food preparation, etc.
  • Service, service etiquette, and standard service practices for full-service restaurants.

  • Monitor and control cash flow and security of assets.
  • Link scheduling to customer flow.
  • Observe and direct actions of subordinates monitor all activity within the dining room and to inspect and maintain areas for which responsible.
  • Maintain bar operations.
