Job summary

Aspire Bakeries is seeking a Production & Packaging Supervisor (Floating) to join our Van Nuys, CA bakery. You will oversee production and packaging across multiple shifts, ensuring staffing, product quality, food safety compliance, and achievement of production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) years of bakery, food manufacturing, packaging, or related supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and apply production schedules, operating procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead production and packaging operations to meet safety, quality, service, and efficiency goals.
• Coordinate workforce scheduling and production plans to meet demand.
• Develop and train team members on procedures, GMPs, SOPs and company policies.

About the Role

We are seeking a Production & Packaging Supervisor (Floating) to join our team at our Van Nuys, CA bakery. As a Production & Packaging Supervisor, you will be accountable for overseeing production and packaging operations across multiple shifts, ensuring efficient staffing, product quality, food safety compliance, and achievement of production goals. This role plays a critical part in coordinating people, processes, and resources to meet customer requirements while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Hours: Based on business needs and operational requirements

Compensation

Salary Range: $72,500 - 80,000

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Lead production and packaging operations to achieve safety, quality, service, and efficiency objectives.
• Coordinate workforce scheduling and production plans to meet customer demand and inventory requirements.
• Develop and train team members on operational procedures, food safety standards, GMPs, SOPs, and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, safety, and sanitation standards while maintaining accurate operational documentation.
• Monitor and improve equipment, processes, and workflow efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Materials Management, and other departments to resolve operational issues and deliver business results.
• Manage employee performance, attendance, engagement, and departmental resources within established budget guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Minimum three (3) years of bakery, food manufacturing, packaging, production, or related supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply production schedules, operating procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentages, ratios, and production‑related measurements.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and support multiple shifts as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Experience in commercial bakery manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of inventory control, ERP, or manufacturing software systems.
• Bilingual English/ Spanish communication skills.
• Experience leading continuous improvement, productivity, or process optimization initiatives.
• Knowledge of food safety programs, GMPs, HACCP principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
