Job Summary

This position is responsible to provide effective customer service and achieve customer satisfaction by delivering services in a professional, courteous, and timely manner for our National Geospatial‑Intelligence Agency (NGA) West Base Operations Support Contract.

Primary Duties
  • Plan and assign work to be accomplished by subordinates based on difficulty of assignments and capabilities of employees; set and adjust short‑term priorities; prepare schedules for completion of work; reconcile assigned work to actual performance; monitor and submit reports on performance.
  • Establish a daily, weekly, and monthly battle rhythm for their operations and ensure goals, deadlines and performance standards are met.
  • Assess work performance; create metrics; perform quality control inspections; develop performance standards; follow administrative guidelines; and find ways to improve production, efficiency, or increase the quality of the work directed.
  • Communicate with customers, employees and other individuals answering questions, and/or providing support regarding CAD, drawing requests, prints, drawing review.
  • Assist Planning Manager – Engineering with management of contract development, planning and estimating, coordination with customers, quality assurance and internal quality control.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Review all documents for completeness and accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and providing timely and courteous customer service.
  • Participate in hiring, employee counseling and termination of subordinates.
  • Complete managerial tasks such as timesheets, evaluations, manager training, and training subordinate staff.
  • Create/implement/ensure compliance of AutoCAD/REVIT standards and assist annex team with FAQ.
  • AutoCAD subject matter expert; communicate in person, in writing and verbally with other managers and supervisors, contracting officer representatives, other government customers; recommend and implement solutions.
  • Evaluate work performance of subordinates; train; and give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
  • Interview candidates for positions in the unit; recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignments.
  • Ensure compliance with SSI guidelines and directives.
  • Identify employee developmental and training needs; provide or arrange for needed development and training.
  • Develop safety and job skills training materials and train personnel.
  • Ensure and enforce compliance with all SSI and Government security, quality control, safety/PPE, training requirements; and COVID‑19 mitigation efforts.
  • Provide workers proper equipment and resources to ensure operations run smoothly and safely.
  • Hear and resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher‑level supervisor or manager; effect minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands; recommend other action in more serious cases.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years related experience or high school diploma or state certified equivalent with 10 years of experience required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/REVIT/Builder and project completion.
  • Knowledge of administrative systems such as Microsoft, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Archibus, and other project management software.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Personal computer (PC) knowledge leading to proficiency in various software and/or spreadsheet operations. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
  • Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times.
  • Reading comprehension – understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Manage one's own time and the time of others.
  • Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. The employee may occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
