Transportation Services supports the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the company's vehicle and equipment fleet. Fleet Operations partners with Transportation Engineering, Business Operations, Regulatory and Compliance, Fleet Technology, Finance, Supply Chain, internal lines of business, and external service providers to maintain operationally ready vehicles and equipment that support gas and electric service delivery.
Leads fleet maintenance and garage operations across multiple facilities within an assigned geographic area. Provides day-to-day leadership to garage operations personnel and is accountable for safe work execution, regulatory and company compliance, vehicle and equipment availability, preventive maintenance, repair quality, documentation, cost management, and responsive client service.
The supervisor establishes work priorities, monitors operational performance, develops employees, resolves escalated operational issues, and coordinates with Transportation Services partners, internal lines of business, vendors, and other stakeholders. The position supports storm and emergency response and participates in after-hours or on-call coverage based on business needs and established departmental expectations.
The primary headquarters for this position is Treat Garage in San Francisco. The company is open to considering another garage location within the position's assigned area of responsibility based on business needs and discussion with the selected candidate.
This position uses a hybrid work model. The employee will work from company offices, assigned garage facilities, field locations, and an approved remote work location based on operational and business needs. Regular travel throughout the assigned geographic area is required. Attendance at the Oakland General Office or other designated company locations may also be required.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of posting. The compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. Actual compensation will be based on factors including skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This position is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is:

Leads safe garage and fleet maintenance operations across multiple facilities within an assigned geographic area. Promotes a clean, orderly, healthy, and injury-free work environment and reinforces consistent use of required safety practices and operational controls.
Supervises, coaches, develops, and holds accountable garage operations personnel. Sets expectations, assigns work, monitors execution, provides timely feedback, supports employee development, and addresses personnel, labor, or workplace issues in partnership with the appropriate internal resources.
Plans, prioritizes, and directs preventive maintenance, inspections, campaigns, recalls, warranties, repairs, emergency road assistance, and other scheduled or unscheduled work to support vehicle availability and minimize operational downtime and client impact.
Ensures maintenance and repairs are completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and to established quality standards, with complete work-order documentation and compliance with applicable company, federal, state, and local requirements.
Monitors compliance with company policies, standards, procedures, labor agreements, environmental requirements, and regulatory obligations. Identifies, escalates, and corrects deficiencies within required timeframes.
Reviews operational performance and fleet data, including preventive maintenance compliance, overdue or aging work, vehicle downtime, repair quality, productivity, commercial spend, budget performance, and other applicable metrics. Develops and executes corrective actions when results do not meet expectations.
Ensures the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and timely reporting of fleet records, including work orders, inspections, incident documentation, campaigns, recalls, warranties, bulletins, equipment status, and required notifications.
Manages assigned operating and maintenance budgets, monitors expenses and cost trends, validates charges, supports forecasting, and identifies opportunities to improve affordability without compromising safety, quality, or reliability.
Partners with internal clients, Transportation Services teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues, coordinate vehicle and equipment needs, communicate service impacts, and support reliable gas and electric operations.
Ensures incident forms, bulletins, notifications, and related documentation are accurate, complete, and submitted within required timeframes when employee injuries, vehicle incidents, equipment incidents, or other reportable events occur.
Supports storm, emergency, and business-continuity response. Participates in after-hours and on-call coverage and must be able to respond within established departmental expectations.
Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvements that strengthen safety, compliance, quality, service, productivity, cost effectiveness, and consistency across garage operations.
