Working in collaboration with the Director, Ambulatory Operations, the Supervisor, Ambulatory Operations strategically leads and monitors the daily operations, optimization efforts, transformational projects, clinic design, space allocation, staffing models and development, performance improvement, business plans, patient experience, clinician relations, care coordination, and other responsibilities for assigned small or micro-sized hospital-based or community-based ambulatory sites.

Responsibilities
  1. Leadership:
  2. Manages and directs the administrative activities of assigned small/micro size hospital-based or community-based ambulatory sites with one or no minor service offerings, and 20 or fewer exam rooms.
  3. Business Strategy and Implementation:
  4. Creates and contributes to strategic operational plans, identifies opportunities for innovation, continuously improves ambulatory care delivery models, and ensures understanding, alignment, and commitment of all staff within span of control.
  5. Collaborates with leadership to design, develop, and implement clinically and fiscally responsible program philosophies, strategic goals, and objectives.
  6. Human Resources Management:
  7. Effectively utilizes existing processes to select, develop, inspire, motivate, and retain a team of highly skilled professionals.
  8. Coordinates the onboarding process of new clinicians and all operational aspects of integrating new clinicians into Ambulatory Care, following onboarding guidelines to ensure success.
  9. Compliance:
  10. Collaborates with Legal, Risk Management, and Compliance departments to guarantee proper compliance activities and safeguards, ensuring practices, procedures, and policies comply with all regulatory agencies.
  11. Site Locations:
  12. Participates in ambulatory site design and refurbishment, including expansion or consolidation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Coordinates project timelines and resources across enterprise work streams.
  13. Operational & Financial Management:
  14. Develops, coordinates, and maintains standardized work policies and procedures to improve operational effectiveness, care quality, and efficiency within span of control to meet organizational goals.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned and/or required.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare supervisory and operations experience, preferably in an ambulatory practice setting. YNHHS employees may substitute 3 years of internal clinical/office experience.

Special Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of healthcare industry desirable; ability to multitask high-volume activity; familiarity with practice management software; ability to interact effectively with all management levels and staff.
