Job summary

McDonald Plastic Molding seeks a Production Supervisors to oversee all levels of manufacturing, coordinate with departments, and ensure production orders are completed efficiently. You will supervise shifts, review schedules, monitor productivity, and enforce safety guidelines, while coaching staff and driving quality improvements.

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Review production schedules and assign work for each employee, department and work centre as production orders require.
  • Monitor productivity and attendance of employees. Along with this edit their time cards in UKG-UTM when needed.
  • Perform daily rounds to every workstation to inspect and review production standards and employee engagement.
  • Explain specifications, and work instructions to employees to ensure all jobs are running to all specifications.
  • To oversee all setups in production and to ensure everything is set to approved standards.
  • Continuous Training of production support and factory employees in their job requirements.
  • Initiate or suggest ways to enable workers to achieve work goals.
  • Perform quarterly reviews with each production coworker. Going over the 5 areas of Attendance, Productivity, Quality, safety, and MPM Culture & Initiative.
  • Perform an annual review with each employee to discuss overall work performance.
  • Administer company policies to all employees and to take further actions as needed.
  • Analyze and resolve personnel problems and assist personnel in solving problems when necessary.
  • Administer company safety guidelines to promote and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Initiate warnings and disciplinary actions with employees as needed.
  • Establish and meet annual goals in conjunction with Plant Manager and corporate goals.
  • Responsible for overall quality and to produce items that meet all Customer specifications.
  • Communicate with Quality Assurance on quality concerns and take appropriate actions.
  • Review and sign off on internal Safety Audits performed on your shift.
  • Fill out any and all accident reports with employees that occur on company property.
  • Administer and monitor rework/rejection activities in conjunction with quality assurance.

SUMMARY

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervise employees on any/all shifts in the factory departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
