Job summary

A plastic manufacturing company in Wisconsin seeks a Machine Operator responsible for manually operating molding machines and executing secondary operations. Qualifications

• Must operate safety door on molding machine efficiently.
• Perform secondary operations like trimming and part separation.
• Ability to shut down the machine in emergencies.
• Maintain the cleanliness of auxiliary equipment.
• Understand material tickets and complete production orders correctly.

Responsibilities

• Manually operate molding machine to extract parts.
• Be present during shifts except for breaks.
• Safely respond to machine alarms.
• Participate in training and uphold safety practices.
• Work collaboratively in a clean and organized environment.
• Safely answer alarms on the machine and report issues promptly.
• Shut off water to the mold in case of leaks and collect first/last shots.
• Complete Production Orders and Machine Cards accurately.
• Use limit samples and workmanship standards properly.
• Understand and perform rework procedures as needed.
• Be available for overtime when required.
• Report any irregularities to supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for manually operating safety door on molding machine to extract molded parts or load molding fixtures/hand loads, to produce plastic parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must remain at machine for duration of shift as required except for scheduled break times
• Required to perform secondary operations on molded parts to include trimming with knives and/or clippers, use of hand or power tools to separate molded parts from hand loads
• Capable of shutting down a machine in an emergency
• Clean all auxiliary equipment to include hoppers, grinders and dryers as needed
• Identify and understand material tickets
• Safely answer alarms on the machine
• Shut off water to the mold in case of a large leak
• Collect first shots and last shots
• Correctly complete Production Orders and Machine Cards
• Use limit samples/workmanship standards properly
• Understand and perform rework procedures
• Be available to work overtime as needed.
• If something doesn’t seem quite right question it and report it to your supervisor immediately.
• To adhere to all company policies regarding conduct, safety practices, and job performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned
