Job Description
The mission of this position is to help Church members fulfill their divinely appointed responsibility to discover their families through family history methods, submit their names to the temple for saving ordinances, and to help bring souls unto CHRIST.

Purpose: As a supervisor, your primary role is to oversee daily operations within the department, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. You will play a strategic role in achieving departmental goals and resource allocation.

Responsibilities:

  • Set performance goals and deadlines aligned with the company’s plans and vision.
  • Organize workflow to ensure employees understand their duties and responsibilities, create schedules, and delegate tasks.
  • Monitor employee productivity, providing feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet departmental objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison between cross-functional teams, including engineering, to ensure clear communication, alignment on priorities, and efficient project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 7 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 5-7 years of experience (preferred).
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Familiarity with the Family History Library Catalog and FamilySearch.
  • Proficiency in standard desktop software such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience with software and system testing, database, and workflow management is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality.
  • Motivational team leadership skills.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, management, and team members.
  • Ability to address operational challenges and oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
